I just listened to this interview, and got to thinking…you CAN hear an R.E.M. influence in there…but it’s a mixing influence. Don’t forget, on those early R.E.M. albums, Michael Stipe’s voice was always mixed rather low.

Ben, thanks for talking to these guys. I’ve known them since they were young lads and watched them grow as musicians. It’s always been about the music with them and they have grown into great people as well as great musicians. I’ve known Dave since he had that first Kay bass, and I’ve watched him teach himself the the art of playing and loving music. Scott is the greatest person you would ever want to know. An awesome engineer as well as a guitar virtuoso. loves life family and friends. they are the real thing.
